Overview

Twenty-one rounds, built to the 140mm competition limit. The MagPul G19 21rd Mag is Magpul’s PMAG 21 GL9, the magazine for the range bag and the match, adding six rounds over a flush 15 without crossing the length cap that USPSA and IPSC divisions enforce.

It runs in the G80 Grip Module and in every full-size, compact and sub-compact double-stack 9mm GLOCK. The extended body sits below the grip on any of them, and gives you a full firing grip regardless of frame length.

Indicator windows show 10, 15 and 21 rounds remaining, so you can read the magazine without unloading it. Polymer body, stainless steel spring, controlled-tilt follower that locks the slide back, and a removable flared floorplate. Designed and made in the USA.

Features

High-visibility follower keeps the stack square and locks the slide back on an empty magazine

Corrosion resistant, and rated for the round counts a training magazine sees

No sticking on a reload, whether the magazine is full or spent

Ridged edges give a positive grip, and the plate comes off for cleaning

Molded dot grid for marking magazines so range mags and carry mags stay separated

MagPul G19 21rd Mag FAQ

Yes. Magpul specifies the PMAG 21 GL9 for all full-size, compact and sub-compact double-stack 9mm GLOCK variants, and the G80 Grip Module uses the same G19 Gen3 magazine well. It seats, feeds and drops free in both the standard module and the Matador Arms module.

USPSA, IPSC and several other rule sets limit magazine length rather than round count in their limited and production divisions, and 140mm is the usual ceiling. The PMAG 21 GL9 is built to that dimension, so it is legal where a longer extended magazine would not be. Confirm against the current rule book for the division you shoot.

The indicator windows on each side mark 10, 15 and 21 rounds remaining. You can read how loaded a magazine is off the shelf without pulling it apart, which is genuinely useful when you are resetting between stages or packing a range bag.

Both are 140mm class extended magazines and both are made in the USA. The Magpul is opaque and built around its controlled-tilt follower and indicator windows; the ETS is translucent, so you read the count through the body rather than through a window. Round count is close enough that it comes down to whether you want to see the whole stack.

A factory GLOCK magazine is a steel body wrapped in polymer. The PMAG GL9 is all polymer over a stainless steel spring, which is lighter, will not rust from the inside if it gets wet, and does not dent. You also get indicator windows, a dot matrix for marking, and a flared floorplate that is easier to strip on a malfunction. Magpul builds them in the USA.

Yes. The GL9 uses a high-visibility controlled-tilt follower that engages the slide stop on the last round, the same as a factory magazine.

Yes. The reinforced polymer body is designed to hold its dimensions under spring pressure, and the stainless spring will not take a set from being compressed. Storing PMAGs loaded is normal practice.

The floorplate is removable by hand. Depress the retainer through the hole in the plate, slide the plate off the front of the body, and keep a thumb on the spring as it releases. Reassemble in reverse. Do not oil the inside of the body; a dry wipe is what you want.

Yes. Magpul designs and manufactures the PMAG GL9 line in the United States.

No. This is a 9x19mm magazine only. The G80 platform supports G23 and G32 Gen3 components, but those calibers need their own magazines. Match the magazine to the slide and barrel you are running.

Yes. Magazine capacity limits vary by state and by city, and we do not ship into jurisdictions that prohibit them. The shipping restrictions table further down this page lists every destination we cannot ship to. Check it before ordering, and check your local ordinance as well, since some restrictions are narrower than the state.
